FAQs
Share as much valuable context about your business as you can. Key financial figures, core issues and risk assessment, market research, customer feedback etc. If you have some extra time, you could make a workshop on the process of strategizing and strategic thinking to align the understanding of the key terms like business model, value proposition, capitalization, revenue, margin etc.
In the strategic decision-making process, we recommend involving only those individuals responsible for the key areas of the business or who can provide important context to others. These may include top executives, HR, and key employees from specific teams who play a role in the company’s development. Typically, it is best to limit the group to no more than 12 people, with a minimum of 3-4 participants.
The outcome will fully depend on the needs of your business. It can include anything from mission, vision, goals, key results, a business model description, market entry strategy, new product ideas, SWOT analysis, or anything else that might be valuable for your business. Additionally, it’s possible to hold a session focused not on strategic planning, but on operational activities or integrating your strategy within your team. The results can be presented as a document outlining the approved strategy or in the form of a workshop to discuss and analyze corporate culture.
Depending on the session outcomes you could get a set of goals, some statements or a roadmap as well as a list of priorities or key initiatives. These won’t be constant and it’s important to plan integration activities: where do you visualise the result and track the progress, how do you communicate new strategic pieces to your team, and a process of changes and adaptations when they are needed.
The primary request was for an annual meeting with managers to gather the results and conclusions from the previous year and look ahead to the next year, taking into account 3-5 years. Initially, we discussed internal issues and briefly addressed the problems of the current year. As the work progressed, the idea arose to immediately focus on vision and the future, without delving too deeply into problems, to avoid limiting the team’s potential in envisioning the future.
Slava was flexible enough to embrace this quickly born hypothesis. It was great that he had a sufficient arsenal and the confidence to facilitate any scenario we chose. After working with Slava, we received three ambitious goals for the agency, which will cascade down to clear key results.
I can say that the result we obtained is very practical. We understand what to do next with great clarity. The team looks inspired and knows the next steps. This is by far the highest-quality strategic session we’ve had in our entire history of strategizing. Slava guided us through this landscape, and it was not only productive but also enjoyable.
